THANK YOU to all the neighbors from Ballard, Phinney, & Fremont who attended this mornings Neighbors Walk along the proposed 6th Ave NW Neighborhood Greenway.
12 neighbors set off from the 6th Avenue Pocket Park, 606 NW 76th Street, at 9:30 AM and traveled south, walking & talking with Cathy Tuttle, Executive Director of Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, before meeting up with a second group of neighbors at Cafe Bambino on NW 65th Street. In all, close to 30 neighbors walked the proposed Greenway this morning, identifying areas of concern and discussing potential future improvements.
In addition to hearing from Cathy Tuttle, neighbors were also introduced to Catherine Weatbrook, candidate for the Seattle City Council District 6 Position, Jamee Ashburn of Ballard Greenways, Robin Randels of Greenwood-Phinney Greenways, and Dawn Hemminger of Groundswell NW and the East Ballard Community Association.
If you missed this mornings walk, please LIKE Seattle Neighborhood Greenways on Facebook and plan on attending a future event to learn more about the proposed 6th Ave NW Neighborhood Greenway.
