Lincoln High School: Seattle Landmarks Preservation Meeting

Is this your students future High School? Lincoln High School, 4400 Interlake Ave. N. in Wallingford, opened in 1907 and closed 74 years later in 1981.  Since it’s closure the building has served as a temporary facility for Seattle schools as they are renovated or when new facilities are being built. The school was prominently featured in the 1989 movie Class of 1999.

Seattle’s Landmarks Preservation Board will consider nomination of the school building tomorrow, Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in the Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 5th Avenue, 40th Floor (Room 4060).  The public is invited to attend the meeting and the agenda is available HERE.

Seattle Public Schools is working to open this historic High School by Fall 2019 and West Woodland Elementary students just might be heading there! More information HERE.
