OPEN HOUSE: Connecting Historic Ballard to the Burke-Gilman Trail

Message received from Seattle Department of Transportation on April 22, 2016.

burkeWe are building a network of greenways and are now studying a potential route connecting Historic Ballard to the Burke-Gilman Trail. We committed to making this connection when doing outreach for the recently installed 17th Ave NW neighborhood. Greenway.

Join the conversation and attend the first of two project public meetings. Along with creating a neighborhood greenway network, a northbound RapidRide bus only lane is planned for 15th Ave NW between NW Leary Way and NW Market St and walking and biking connections to the Ballard Bridge are being improved. It is important to acknowledge that 15th Ave NW is a Major Truck Street and that many of these improvements are taking place in and near Ballard’s industrial zone. Let’s work together to keep people and goods moving in an organized and predictable way.
